Microsoft Teams is experiencing a decline in web app downloads, particularly among younger, tech-savvy users. To hypothesize, the current Microsoft Teams product page design is outdated and fails to resonate with this target audience. To address this issue, the aim is to redesign the page to be more visually appealing, user-friendly, and effective in driving downloads.

Clean and Minimalistic Design with vibrant elements

I chose the brand design guidelines of Microsoft, where in brand identity is vibrant with many 3D illustrations and observed how they work through their platforms. The brand's overall aesthetics seems to be very clean and minimal with maximum usage of Indigo and White, which translates to the feeling of 'tranquility' and 'bridge between the worlds'. There's an occasional use to pink and light blue to create emphasis. The body text is cool grey, to keep the contrast low which reduces the strain on the eyes on the reader. Both the font face used by the brand are Helvetica Neue, which again instills the feeling of being approachable and soft. Usage of compartmental layout to differentiate the sections styled with beveled edges also instills a feeling of softness, trust and sense of community, which aligns with the brand values.
